Change the world: Code something amazing.
What you'll do:
- Team up with friends to solve a problem you care about
- Learn how to code a solution to that problem
- Develop a plan to launch a business for your tech-based solution and learn how to pitch your ideas to potential investors and partners
- Submit your project to our global competition
You can participate through a Technovation Chapter or Club near you, or participate virtually on your own.
Timing:
The Technovation Girls season runs from October - May, and registration is open between October and March.
Projects are due to the competition by May 5, 2025.
The Technovation Girls competition is free and open to all girls as well as nonbinary, gender-fluid, and transgender participants who want to be part of a female-identified environment. Technovation Girls is open to participants ages 8-18.

There are two options to volunteer with Technovation: Mentoring and Judging. Choose the opportunity that fits your interests and schedule.
Mentor
What you'll do:
- Support a team of girls for an entire season
- Help your team stay on track to complete their project and submit to the competition
- Help your team find answers to questions and overcome challenges as they come up
Note: you can find a friend or co-worker to mentor with to help share the work!
Time commitment:
30-40 hours in total, from October to May:
1-2 hours for onboarding + 2-4 hours a week
Judge
What you'll do:
- Review and score teams' projects
- Provide constructive feedback to teams on how to improve their app and encourage them to keep building
- Help select the teams that advance to semifinals and finals.
Time commitment:
3+ hours in total, from May to July
Judge registration will be open April 7 - May 26, 2025 and June 2 - 18, 2025. Join the waitlist to receive a notification when registration opens.
Change your community: Lead Technovation Girls locally
What you'll do:
Bring Technovation Girls to your community through either a Chapter or a Club.
- Chapters are led by individuals or teams affiliated with organizations and run the program on a large scale, often through a "train the trainer" model
- Clubs are led by individual volunteers and typically run the program with a single school or community group
Timing:
The official Technovation Girls season runs from October - May, but Ambassadors often begin preparing for the upcoming season in August or September.
Please note: there is an application process for Ambassadors.

- Provide funding to help Technovation educate and empower more girls in more places
- Engage your employees in meaningful skill-based volunteering opportunities
- Build your talent pipeline by connecting with Technovation's tenacious, innovative alumnae in the workforce
- Establish your company as a leader in gender equality and AI education.
