Regional Pitch Events or RPEs
RPEs are in-person events that celebrate girls’ learning, showcase their projects, and serve are part of the first round of judging for Technovation. Teams pitch their projects live to a panel of judges and receive scores, with the top-scoring team(s) advancing to the next round of judging.
Each RPE is unique and it is best to coordinate with your local Ambassador for more details and specifics.
As Ambassadors manage their own recruitment of Judges, not all registered Judges will have the opportunity to be a RPE Judge and the Technovation Global Team cannot connect you with such opportunities, and will not answer inquiries of this nature.
#1 tip for RPE Judges
Your local Ambassador or Event Organizer, will be the best source for information about the event. Ensure that you have their contact information and that they have yours.

Best Practices for RPE Judges

Before the RPE
Review assigned projects for your RPE starting May 8, 2025.
- you can see the entire submission and input initial scores and feedback online, save it on the platform. Scores can be edited later.
- this will help you learn about team’s projects and better be able to ask questions at their pitch live
At the RPE
- Check-in with your Chapter Ambassador or Event Organizer
- Meet the other Judges on the panel with you
- Be attentive in pitches, provide feedback verbally (remember BOOST) and make notes to edit your feedback on your account
- Engage with your local Technovation community!
After the RPE
Submit your updated scores and feedback to the platform, reflect the winning teams with the highest scores by June 2. Edits will not be able to be made after that date.
What to expect
RPEs are new to many volunteers! Knowing what an event could look like can be helpful, so below is a sample agenda of an RPE. The event you attend may look very similar or completely different.
This sample agenda is meant to serve as an example, and is based on 10 teams in a single division in attendance.

Celebration Events
Celebration Events are unofficial events that can be organized to celebrate the achievements of local teams. These are hosted by local Chapter Ambassadors when there are less than 8 teams from a division.
Judges may be invited to attend celebration events to provide feedback to the teams who pitch live at the event.
Scores and feedback from these events will not be taken into consideration for the global competition.
