Students create bathroom app for LGBTI community

Three young students have developed an app that will allow people to find a gender neutral public toilet close by.

The app, Loocation, was developed by three students from Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland, Lydia Watson, Joanna Li and Piper Whitehead, who worked alongside organisations such as RainbowYOUTH.

Communications & Operations Manager of RainbowYOUTH, Toni Duder says “It’s very exciting to see young people using their education to tackle real world issues. This project shows awesome initiative and we’re excited to see where it goes in the future.”
