The curriculum can be adapted to fit within various timelines. We recommend that students are given 40-60 hours of time to use the curriculum and build their projects.

Interactive Features
Students stay actively engaged through a lot of activities, including quizzes, coding exercises and research, all of which enhance their learning.

Activity Worksheets
Students strengthen their learning and build practical skills through hands-on activities in each lesson. While not required, these worksheets help guide project development and can be printed or completed in Google Docs—just make a copy to customize them for your teams!

Sustainable Development Goals
Technovation uses the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals to help students explore real-world problems and design impactful solutions for their communities.
Our curriculum includes 10 SDG-specific lesson tracks and curated technical videos from alumnae to challenge students to critically engage global issues that impact their community.
Students can dive deeper through these additional pathways and technical tutorials aligned with specific SDGs.

HOW TO USE THE CURRICULUM
Using the Curriculum in Meetings and Classes
Structuring Your Sessions
You can structure sessions in one of two ways, depending on your team’s timeline and goals:
- Full-length curriculum – ideal for teams with more time who want to go deeper into each topic.
- Core Curriculum – a condensed version of the curriculum containing the basic information needed to submit a project if you are short on time.
During meetings, focus on the most relevant lessons and project-building activities. Students can complete some parts of the curriculum outside of sessions. Encourage them to work on their project between meetings as well.
Running sessions with multiple teams
Divide session time between:
- Whole group activities (skill workshops, presentations)
- Team breakout time (project work, planning)
Alternate between whole-group instruction and teamwork time. Start together, split into teams, then regroup to share progress.

- Pre-built Agendas – structured weekly plans with meeting activities and student tasks
