This website is focused on the European Union, but it has some good information and statistics around economic growth and labor.

focuses on entrepreneurship and microfinance to eliminate poverty. They offer self-sufficiency programs, vocational training, and support for small businesses in 59 countrires around the world.

Youth Empolyment Services Canada
provides employment services to young people, including job search assistance, skills training, and mentorship programs.

Public Services International
by BRAC deliver remote, playful learning experiences for children ages three to six in Uganda to support their development of critical cognitive and social skills.

Self-Employed Women's Association
is a trade union that empowers women working in the informal economy by providing them with support through microfinance, training, and advocacy for labor rights.

Cool People and Projects
Nazma Akter, a Bangladeshi labor activist, started working in garment factories at age 11 and is a prominent advocate for workers’ rights in the garment industry. She founded Awaj Foundation and heads several labor unions
Megan Rapinoe, a USA team soccer star, filed a lawsuit—along with several teammates—for pay equity in women’s soccer. This led to a historic agreement in 2022 on a new 50-50 split that pays women and men on the national soccer teams the same salary and prize money.
Ai-jen Poo is an American labor activist, advocating for domestic workers’ rights and better working conditions. She is the founder of Domestic Workers United, an organization of Caribbean, Latina, and African nannies, housekeepers, and elderly caregivers in New York. She now directs the National Domestic Workers Alliance.
Equity and Transformation (EAT) is a community-led organization founded by and for post-incarcerated people in Chicago, USA. Their mission is to build social and economic equity for Black workers engaged in the informal economy: economic activities, enterprises, jobs, and workers that are not regulated or protected by the state.
Kailash Satyarthi is an Indian activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate known for his work in fighting child labor and advocating for children’s rights. He founded the Bachpan Bachao Andolan (Save the Childhood Movement), saving children from slavery, trafficking, and forced labor. He organized the Global March Against Child Labour, a worldwide movement pushing for policy changes to protect children.
