Decide when you’ll begin recruiting participants for your program

If you’re able, it’s ideal to have 1-2 months before you aim to start the program to spread the word and get folks involved.

Your program start and end dates are up to you! However, keep in mind that

It generally takes 40 hours total for students to complete the program.

Often programs start in October, while others squeeze it in January through April. Some programs even run over the summer!

If your students are pretty independent, teams might be able to work on their project on their own between meetings.

Tip : Technovation can be integrated into a school subject, an after-school or summer program, weekwend workshops, a boot camp, or other exiting programs!

Once you know your start and end dates, map out specific curricular benchmarks to guide teams learning

Use the mentor curriculum to get a high-level sense of the content & activities in each unit of the student curriculum.

Your students don’t have to do every single lesson! Encourage them to access the parts of the curriculum that are most relevant to their project.
