Nigeria: Technovation 2015 Offers U.S.$20,000 Cash Prize for Winners

Technovation, a technology entrepreneurship programme and competition for secondary school girls, has opened.

According to the organisers and sponsors of the competition, Iridescent, registration will close on February 15, 2015.

This year’s competition seeks to mentor female students that are between the ages of 10 and 18 years, through its intensive 3-month, 50-hour curriculum, that will expose them to technology and software application development. At the end of the mentorship programme, each of female students will be allowed to imagine, design, and develop mobile apps, and then pitch their “start-up” businesses to judges, the organizers said.
